Dubai-based Solstice Data has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Kerala government to invest ₹52,600 crore in establishing a major AI-driven High-Performance Computing (HPC) data centre at KINFRA Industrial Park .

According to an official statement, about 100 acres of land within the industrial park will be allotted to the company for developing the facility. The project is expected to be implemented in phases over the next five to seven years .

The MoU was formally exchanged in Thiruvananthapuram between Raj Babu Thulaseedharan and Santhosh Koshy Thomas . The ceremony was held in the presence of P Rajeev and P Vishnuraj .

Solstice Data is a global technology company specialising in the design, development and operation of advanced Artificial Intelligence-powered HPC data centres . Headquartered in Dubai, the firm manages more than 60 data centre projects worldwide , including facilities in the United States and Canada .

Officials said the proposed project will focus on strengthening the digital infrastructure and data centre ecosystem , supporting large-scale data processing, cloud services and advanced computing capabilities required for emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence.

Speaking on the occasion, Industries Minister P Rajeev said the project, which will be developed in collaboration with local partners, is expected to open up significant opportunities in Kerala’s growing digital and technology landscape.

The KINFRA Industrial Park in Mattannur spans a total of about 175 acres , of which around 123 acres have already been developed for industrial use. The park’s existing 36,000-square-foot Standard Design Factory has been fully allotted, and land has been granted to 12 other enterprises .

With the allocation of 100 acres to Solstice Data , most of the remaining industrial land in the park will now be utilised, marking a significant step towards expanding industrial and technology investments in the region.

Officials noted that the project is expected to contribute to industrial growth, technology development and employment generation in northern Kerala while strengthening the state’s position in the emerging data centre and digital infrastructure sector.
