Dutch Tour Bus Crash in Switzerland Leaves 5 Dead, 40 Injured

Five people were killed and 40 others injured after a Dutch tour bus hit a roadside crash barrier and overturned in eastern Switzerland, police said.The bus, carrying 45 people, overturned on Thursday afternoon between the villages of Susch and Zernez in the Alpine canton of Graubuenden.

Police said three of the injured people remained in serious condition at hospital. The other passengers were also being treated for injuries following the accident.

The bus was travelling between Susch and Zernez when it struck the roadside crash barrier before overturning. No other vehicles were believed to be involved in the accident, according to police.

Prosecutors and police were investigating the circumstances that led to the crash.
