
End of an Era: Chilkur Balaji Chief Priest Soundararajan passed away at 90
Dr. Soundararajan (90), chief priest and managing committee chairman of the prominent Chilkur Sri Balaji Temple in Moinabad mandal of Rangareddy district, passed away at his residence on Friday.
Expressing deep sorrow, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy described him as a distinguished academic and spiritual leader. He recalled that Dr. Soundararajan served with distinction as a professor and later as Registrar at Osmania University, earning widespread respect in academic circles.
The Chief Minister noted that Dr. Soundararajan made significant contributions to both education and spirituality, playing a pivotal role in enhancing the stature of the temple. He said the late priest’s efforts in promoting spiritual awareness among devotees would be remembered for years to come.
Conveying his heartfelt condolences, A. Revanth Reddy prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace and extended sympathies to the bereaved family. Several eminent personalities also mourned the passing of Dr. Soundararajan , acknowledging his invaluable service to the educational and spiritual spheres.
