In a breathtaking finale at the ATP Delhi Open 2026 , Greece’s Stefanos Sakellaridis emerged victorious in one of the most thrilling championship matches of the tournament, defeating Great Britain’s Oliver Crawford in a dramatic three‑set battle to claim his first ATP Challenger Tour singles title at the DLTA Complex today.

The 21‑year‑old unseeded contender battled past the fifth‑seeded Crawford with a hard‑fought 7‑5, 4‑6, 7‑6(6) win that spanned more than three hours, showcasing grit, resilience and exceptional shot‑making under pressure.

The encounter started with swift momentum shifts, including five breaks of serve in the opening set before Sakellaridis narrowly edged it 7‑5 . Crawford fought back in the second set, rallying after an early break to take it 6‑4 and level the match.

The deciding set saw one of the week’s most dramatic twists. After Sakellaridis broke early but couldn’t consolidate, Crawford surged ahead to a 5‑2 lead . However, the Greek player produced a remarkable comeback, winning three games in a row to pull level at 5‑5 . The title was ultimately decided in a tense final‑set tie‑break, where Sakellaridis prevailed 8‑6 on his second match point, sealing a historic triumph.

With this victory, Sakellaridis collects 75 ATP ranking points and USD 17,000 in prize money a result that is projected to boost his world ranking to a career‑high position inside the top 230 . Crawford, who fought valiantly throughout the match, will receive 44 ranking points and USD 9,600 , and is expected to re‑enter the top 200 on the ATP list next week.

“I wasn’t always confident at the start of the week,” Sakellaridis said after lifting the trophy, “but I believed in my game, fought hard every match, and this title means a huge step forward. I hope this momentum carries me into the Grand Slam qualifiers.”
