'Epic' starring Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya is set to stream on Netflix from tomorrow, but the film has already caught attention over an unexpected title change on the streaming platform.

Producer Naga Vamsi's previous release brought the 'Baby' pair Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya together once again. Directed by debutant Aditya Hasan, the romantic comedy failed to make a strong impact at the box office during its theatrical run.

Ahead of its digital debut, Netflix's listing for the film caught everyone's attention after it appeared with a different title. Instead of the original 'Epic', the film has been listed as 'Epic Classic-First Semester'. It remains unclear whether this is simply a technical error by the Netflix team or an intentional title change for the OTT release.

The sudden name change has naturally led to speculation online about whether the Netflix version could feature additional scenes or an alternate cut compared with the version released in theatres.

However, there is no official confirmation yet that the OTT version will contain any new footage. A clearer picture is expected once the film goes live on Netflix tonight.

The multi-language OTT release is jointly produced by Sai Soujanya under Fortune Four Cinemas, while Hesham Abdul Wahab has composed the music.

With 'Epic' now listed under a different title on Netflix, viewers will be keen to find out whether the change is merely a listing error or hints at something different in the OTT version.
