
Exicom Inaugurates ₹216 Crore EV and Power Electronics Plant in Hyderabad
Exicom Tele-Systems Limited (BSE: 544133, NSE: EXICOM), one of India’s leading EV charging and critical power companies , inaugurated its new integrated manufacturing facility in Hyderabad today. Built with an investment of ₹216 crore , the facility spans 18.4 acres with a built-up area of 2,80,000 sq ft and is expected to increase production capacity by 2.5X in its first phase, creating over 750 jobs in the region.
The plant has been established to meet the rapidly growing demand for EV chargers, lithium-ion battery systems, and critical power solutions in India and export markets. These solutions will support electric mobility, telecom networks, data centres, and mission-critical infrastructure that require uninterrupted power.
Designed around Industry 4.0 principles , the facility integrates advanced automation, robotics, and digital traceability , enabling precision manufacturing at scale . It includes ISO 8 cleanrooms , high-precision processes for power electronics , and specialised testing infrastructure to validate performance under real-world conditions. Plans are underway to set up India’s first EV charger interoperability testing centre , ensuring seamless compatibility across vehicles. The facility will also manufacture Tritium TRI-FLEX liquid-cooled power modules, bringing global EV charging standards closer to the Indian market.
The plant is certified to international standards including IATF 16949, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018, underscoring Exicom’s focus on quality, operational excellence, and global competitiveness .
Sustainability is embedded in the facility’s design, with 40% green cover, a 1 MW rooftop solar plant, rainwater harvesting, and a dedicated sewage treatment system , aiming for IGBC Green Building certification.
