FBI Adds Goldy Brar To Ten Most Wanted List, Announces USD 1 Million Reward

The FBI has added gangster Satinderjeet Singh, alias Goldy Brar, to its Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list and announced a reward of up to USD 1 million for information leading to his arrest. The move was announced on September 28 by the FBI’s Los Angeles Field Office.

Singh is wanted in the US over his alleged role in the Lawrence Bishnoi Organised Crime Group, which US authorities accused of carrying out targeted killings, shootings, murders, kidnappings, extortion and narcotics and weapons trafficking across the US, Canada and elsewhere. The FBI said Singh is believed to be the group’s leader in North America and warned that he should be considered armed, dangerous and an escape risk.

According to the FBI, Singh faces federal charges including Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organisations (RICO) conspiracy, conspiracy to interfere with and attempted interference with commerce through extortion, and conspiracy to distribute and possess controlled substances. A federal arrest warrant was issued for him on July 1 in the US District Court for the Central District of California.

The FBI said Singh is allegedly connected to the direction of the Bishnoi enterprise’s activities worldwide. One of the federal indictments alleges that he helped direct members and associates of the organisation and acted as one of Lawrence Bishnoi’s trusted lieutenants.

The development follows Operation Hardball, a years-long US investigation into India-based transnational organised crime groups. On July 7, US authorities announced charges against 37 defendants linked to three such groups, with arrests carried out in the US, Canada and Europe. Authorities said the investigation involved allegations of racketeering, targeted killings, shootings, extortion and international narcotics trafficking.

One indictment focused on the Bishnoi enterprise. US authorities allege that the group was involved in the 2023 assassination in Canada of a prominent Indian political and religious figure, identified in court documents as Hardeep Singh Nijjar. The indictment alleges that Bishnoi and Singh ordered the killing. The allegations have not been proven in court.

The FBI said Singh is the 543rd fugitive to be added to its Ten Most Wanted list since its creation in 1950. It is seeking information on his whereabouts and has urged the public not to approach him directly. Tips can be submitted anonymously to the FBI.
