FIR Against CJP Convenor Abhijeet Dipke Over Alleged School Trespass, Threats to Teachers
Police in Maharashtra’s Latur district have registered an FIR against Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) convenor Abhijeet Dipke and others for allegedly entering a government school without permission, disrupting official work and threatening teachers.
The case was registered at Ausa police station following a complaint by Sayyed Shamshadbano Khairatali, 53, a teacher at a Zilla Parishad Urdu school.
According to the complaint, the alleged incident took place at the ZP Urdu school in Jawali, near Ausa. Dipke has been visiting government schools across Latur as part of the CJP’s ‘School Thik Karo’ (Improve Government Schools) campaign, during which he has been highlighting problems faced by students and teachers.
The complaint alleges that Dipke and his associates entered the school premises without permission, sat among students and questioned them, resulting in disruption to educational and official work.
The group also allegedly filmed the proceedings and shared the footage on social media.
The complaint further alleged that Dipke made claims that students from another school had been brought into the classrooms during his visit and threatened to have teachers suspended. Police have included these allegations in the case registered against him.
The FIR has been filed under provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including Section 132, relating to assault or criminal force against a public servant to deter them from performing their duty; Section 329(3), concerning house trespass; Section 351(2), relating to criminal intimidation; and Section 356(2), concerning criminal defamation.
The alleged incident has brought attention to the methods being used by the CJP as it steps up its campaign on the condition of government schools in the region.
