Five Members Of Family Found Dead In Srisailam Lodge Room

Five members of a family from Sri Sathya Sai district were found dead under suspicious circumstances at Srisailam in Andhra Pradesh, with police suspecting that prolonged health problems and financial difficulties may have driven them to take the extreme step.

According to police, Pallapu Sudhakar, 36, a resident of Battalapalli village, arrived in Srisailam on July 28 along with his three sisters and his 15-year-old nephew. The group travelled in an autorickshaw operated by Sudhakar and checked into a room at Vadde Sathram, where they had been staying.

The incident came to light on Tuesday after Sathram staff noticed that the room had remained locked for an unusually long period and detected a foul smell coming from inside. When they looked through a window, they reportedly found all five occupants hanging inside the room. The staff immediately alerted the police.

Police reached the spot and recovered the bodies before beginning an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deaths.

During the preliminary inquiry, investigators learned that the family members had reportedly been struggling with health-related problems for some time. Police also found that two of Sudhakar's sisters were living separately from their husbands.

The family was reportedly facing financial hardship, with Sudhakar's income from driving an autorickshaw serving as the primary source of support for the household.

Police suspect that a combination of persistent health problems and financial distress may have contributed to the deaths. However, investigators are examining all possible angles and are yet to establish the exact circumstances behind the incident.

The bodies have been sent for the required post-mortem examination, and further details are expected as the investigation progresses.
