Fly91 Launches Tirupati-Rajamahendravaram Flight Service
Regional airline Fly91 expanded its network in Andhra Pradesh with the launch of a new flight service between Tirupati and Rajamahendravaram on Friday, strengthening air connectivity between two important destinations in the state.
The new route was introduced a day after the airline launched its Tirupati-Vijayawada service. With the addition of the latest route, Fly91's network has grown to 13 destinations across its operations.
Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu on Thursday formally inaugurated Fly91's new services connecting Tirupati with Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Rajamahendravaram. While the Tirupati-Vijayawada service began operations on Thursday, flights between Tirupati and Rajamahendravaram commenced from Friday.
The airline will operate the Tirupati-Hyderabad service daily, while the Tirupati-Vijayawada route will operate four days a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The new Tirupati-Rajamahendravaram service will run three days a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Tirupati is now Fly91's third destination in Andhra Pradesh, while the airline serves four destinations across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana combined. The expanded network is expected to provide greater convenience for pilgrims travelling to Tirupati as well as passengers moving between major cities in the two states.
Naidu said the new network would make air travel more convenient for pilgrims and other passengers, particularly by improving direct connectivity between key regional centres. He also said steps were being taken to facilitate direct international connectivity from Tirupati to destinations such as Kuwait, which could further expand travel options from the temple city.
With the latest additions, Fly91's network includes Goa, Sindhudurg, Jalgaon, Solapur, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Agatti, Kochi, Hubballi, Rajamahendravaram, Vijayawada and Tirupati.
