Andhra Pradesh is stepping up efforts to position itself as a leading destination for global investments, with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu pitching the state as a future hub for Artificial Intelligence (AI), logistics, advanced manufacturing, semiconductors and innovation-led industries during his two-day visit to Singapore.

The visit forms part of the state's broader investment outreach strategy aimed at attracting international capital, strengthening strategic partnerships and accelerating economic growth. Through a series of meetings with investors, technology leaders, government representatives and international organizations, Naidu sought to showcase Andhra Pradesh's industrial strengths and future-ready vision.

At a startup roundtable attended by venture capitalists and industry leaders, the Chief Minister highlighted Andhra Pradesh's investor-friendly policies, expanding industrial ecosystem and growing innovation infrastructure. He emphasized that this is an opportune time for global investors to establish a presence in the state and leverage its strategic advantages.

Naidu pointed to the recently established Ratan Tata Innovation Hub as a key platform for nurturing startups and connecting entrepreneurs with venture capital. He also underlined India's emergence as a major manufacturing and technology destination, citing growth in electronics, medical technology, advanced engineering and defence production. Describing the country's young workforce as its biggest strength, he said Andhra Pradesh is promoting entrepreneurship through its "One Family-One Entrepreneur" initiative.

A key focus of the visit was strengthening ties with Singapore, which has long been associated with the development of Amaravati and remains an important economic partner for the state. During a meeting with India's High Commissioner to Singapore, Shilpak Ambule , Naidu sought greater cooperation in attracting investments and expanding partnerships across infrastructure, technology, manufacturing, education and skill development sectors.

The Chief Minister highlighted opportunities in robotics, medical devices, electronics manufacturing, semiconductors, quantum technology, food processing and logistics , while emphasizing that Andhra Pradesh's youth are well-prepared to meet the workforce needs of Singapore's technology sector. He also called for stronger academic partnerships between Singaporean universities and educational institutions in Andhra Pradesh to boost higher education and skill development.

Naidu reiterated that the state government is committed to providing fast-track approvals and land allotments for major projects. He cited investments involving Google , ArcelorMittal , and advanced aerospace initiatives as examples of Andhra Pradesh's ability to facilitate large-scale investments efficiently. Industrial hubs such as Sri City continue to attract significant domestic and international investments, he added.

One of the most significant engagements during the visit was Naidu's meeting with Karan Bajwa , President of Google Cloud Asia Pacific . Discussions focused on transforming Andhra Pradesh into one of India's largest hubs for AI, cloud computing, data centres and digital infrastructure . Both sides agreed to establish a joint task force to strengthen collaboration in AI, cloud technologies and digital governance. The Chief Minister also proposed expanding AI skilling and cloud certification programmes and invited Google Cloud to partner in the state's Sanjeevani Project .

The state is already pursuing ambitious plans to develop Visakhapatnam into a major digital infrastructure destination through the proposed Google Cloud India AI Hub and hyperscale data centre ecosystem. Simultaneously, Amaravati is being positioned as a future Quantum Valley , aimed at attracting investments in quantum computing and next-generation technologies.

As part of the visit, Naidu also met UN-Habitat Executive Director Ana Claudia Rossbach to discuss climate-resilient urban development, coastal city protection and slum upgradation initiatives. He later held talks with Sunil Nambiar , Operations Head of YCH Logistics Group , regarding logistics parks and a technologically advanced Supply Chain City in Andhra Pradesh.

Highlighting the state's nearly 1,000-kilometre coastline , extensive port network and strong road, rail and air connectivity, Naidu said Andhra Pradesh is uniquely positioned to become a logistics and export hub. He also pointed to opportunities in shipbuilding, civil aviation MRO facilities, horticulture and food processing , while noting that nearly two million acres in the state are now under natural farming. With plans to attract ₹1 lakh crore in horticulture investments and expand value-added exports, the Chief Minister said Andhra Pradesh is ready to emerge as a major driver of India's technology-led and export-oriented growth story.
