Gadwal Collector Calls for Technology-Driven Teaching to Prepare Students for Future
Teachers should continuously upgrade their teaching skills and strengthen their understanding of technology to keep pace with changing times, Jogulamba Gadwal District Collector Rizwan Basha Shaik said. He called for the adoption of modern teaching approaches that can equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to build successful careers in the future.
The Collector made the remarks while attending a week-long digital learning workshop for mathematics teachers at the Government Polytechnic College in Gonupadu village on Wednesday. The workshop is being organised by the District Education Department as part of the Gyana Deepti programme, aimed at strengthening teachers’ capabilities through modern learning methods.
Addressing the participants, Rizwan Basha Shaik emphasised the growing importance of mathematics and science in education and employment. He encouraged teachers to move beyond conventional classroom methods and introduce creative and technology-enabled approaches that can make lessons more engaging and easier for students to understand.
He said teachers have an important role in preparing students for a rapidly changing employment landscape. With new professions and technologies emerging, educators should focus on developing skills among students that match the requirements of jobs currently in demand. The Collector particularly encouraged the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other modern technologies as part of the teaching process.
He also urged teachers to make effective use of online educational resources, including Khan Academy, Physics Wallah and FLNAX, to supplement classroom teaching. Digital platforms, he noted, are already helping students preparing for competitive examinations such as IIT and NEET access additional learning material and improve their performance.
The Collector further directed teachers to pay special attention to students preparing for the Class 10 examinations and work towards achieving 100 per cent results. He advised them to focus not only on important portions of the syllabus but also on regular practice of previous examination question papers, enabling students to become familiar with the examination pattern and improve their confidence.
Rizwan Basha Shaik noted that students from educationally backward mandals have also been demonstrating impressive performance in recent times. He urged teachers to draw motivation from these achievements and work with greater commitment to ensure that students across the district receive quality education and opportunities to excel.
