‘Gen Z Needs Gen Z Voices’: CJP Chief Reacts to Bhagwat’s Mumbai Student Meet

Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Tuesday welcomed the upcoming interaction between RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and Gen Z students, but said such discussions would be more effective if they were led by younger representatives.

Bhagwat is scheduled to interact with Gen Alpha and Gen Z students in Mumbai on August 6. The event is expected to bring together more than 2,000 students aged between 15 and 19 from over 100 cities across the country.

Reacting to the programme, Dipke said dialogue with young people was a positive step but argued that the representation should come from within the younger generation. “It is good that dialogue is taking place. But it will be even better if some young faces are deployed for this,” he said.

Dipke claimed that growing youth activism had compelled political and social leaders to engage more directly with younger generations. Referring to recent outreach efforts by leaders, he said Gen Z’s concerns could no longer be ignored and that meaningful conversations with youth were necessary for the country’s future.

The CJP founder also linked the growing focus on youth issues to protests led by his organisation over alleged irregularities in competitive examinations, including the NEET paper leak controversy. Following these protests, Dharmendra Pradhan resigned as Union education minister on July 25.

Dipke further raised concerns over the ongoing Jharkhand student protests against alleged paper leaks in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) examination and other recruitment tests. Students have been staging an indefinite protest at Ranchi’s Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium since July 29. He alleged that protesting students were facing difficulties due to a lack of basic facilities and claimed the situation resembled the treatment faced by earlier protesters in Delhi. Dipke said CJP stood with the Jharkhand students demanding accountability.

The protesting students have sought an investigation by an independent panel of retired high court judges from outside Jharkhand, alleging that a CID probe ordered by the state government could lead to a “whitewash” of the matter. They had earlier demanded CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED) investigations, citing alleged financial links in the recruitment irregularities.
