Golden Bhagyam Glimpse: Satya and Yogi Babu Promise a Fun Telugu-Tamil Comedy

The title glimpse of Golden Bhagyam, an upcoming Telugu-Tamil comedy entertainer featuring Satya and Yogi Babu, has been unveiled, promising a quirky mix of humour, romance, crime and action. The glimpse was launched by Mega Prince Varun Tej.

Directed by Pawan Basamsetti, known for Rangabali, the film brings together popular comedy actors from Telugu and Tamil cinema in what the makers describe as a “Telumil” project, combining Telugu and Tamil elements.

The glimpse begins with a humorous argument over food. A Telugu character praises the combination of biryani and a cool drink, while a Tamil character champions idli and sambar. Their playful rivalry eventually gives way to another combination — Satya and Yogi Babu.

The two comedians appear in traditional white outfits, with the language setup adding another layer to the comedy. Satya speaks in Tamil, while Yogi Babu responds in Telugu, creating an unusual Telugu-Tamil exchange. The glimpse also appears to spoof the promotional style of the Kamal Haasan-Rajinikanth reunion announcement, while references involving Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu add to the parody.

The film's story is said to combine love, crime and action, while the contrasting personalities and language dynamics of its lead comedians are expected to drive much of the humour.

Jayashree and Athiraj play the female leads. The supporting cast includes Vennela Kishore, Sudharshan, Rohini, Tanikella Bharani and Sunil Reddy, among others.

Nagarjuna Reddy and Pawan Basamsetti are jointly producing the film under Dream Movie Makers and Nayavayu Chitralu. Bablu Aju is handling cinematography, Pawan CH is composing the music, Kamesh is taking care of production design and Ravi Teja Girijala is the editor.

The project began production earlier this year, with its launch held at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. The makers had initially planned a Sankranti release but subsequently moved the film beyond the festival window. It is now expected to release later this year in Telugu and Tamil.
