Grammy-winning electronic music duo The Chainsmokers are set to return to India this December with a three-city tour covering Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru , bringing one of the year's biggest live music events to fans across the country.

The tour will begin in Mumbai on December 18 , followed by Delhi on December 19 , and conclude in Bengaluru on December 20 .

The Mumbai leg will hold special significance as the duo will also headline Sunburn Festival 2026 at the iconic Mahalaxmi Racecourse , marking a major expansion of the festival into the heart of the city. Organisers described the performance as a landmark moment for Sunburn's evolving format and growing urban presence.

Ticket access for the Mumbai and Bengaluru shows is already live on BookMyShow, while fans in Delhi have been encouraged to register early for priority access ahead of further announcements.

The tour coincides with the 10th anniversary of the duo's global hit 'Closer' , a song that became one of the defining tracks of a generation and continues to enjoy immense popularity worldwide. Organisers noted that the milestone has reignited nostalgia among millennial and Gen Z audiences in India.

In a statement, the organisers said that some songs transcend music to become lasting memories and milestones in people's lives. They highlighted how tracks such as 'Closer' , 'Don't Let Me Down' , 'Paris' , and 'Something Just Like This' became synonymous with college festivals, parties, late-night drives and global festival culture over the past decade.

Speaking about the announcement, Sunburn CEO Karan Singh said The Chainsmokers are among the few artists whose music instantly transports listeners back to specific moments in their lives. He added that their songs became an integral part of youth culture for Indian millennials and Gen Z, and that the tour reflects the growing demand for large-scale cultural experiences that bring together music, fandom, production and community.

The Chainsmokers, comprising Drew Taggart and Alex Pall , are a Grammy Award-winning and RIAA Diamond-certified duo known for blending pop, electronic, indie, alternative and rock influences into chart-topping global hits.
