Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Rajasthan and Gujarat on July 4 , where he will dedicate, inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for development projects worth nearly ₹1.06 lakh crore . Covering sectors such as petrochemicals, aviation, metro rail, highways, renewable energy, power transmission and semiconductors, the ambitious package is aimed at strengthening India's infrastructure, boosting industrial growth and generating employment across regions.

The Prime Minister's visit will begin in Jodhpur , where he will launch the Modified UDAN Scheme , a revamped regional connectivity programme with an outlay of ₹28,840 crore over the next 10 years. The scheme aims to expand air travel by developing 100 aerodromes , building 200 helipads and supporting regional flight operations. It also encourages the use of indigenous aircraft, including HAL Dhruv helicopters and Dornier planes, in line with the government's Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision.

Modi will also inaugurate the new terminal building at Jodhpur Airport , developed at a cost of ₹480 crore . Designed to handle up to 20 lakh passengers annually , the terminal combines Rajasthan's traditional architectural style with modern, eco-friendly features and is expected to boost tourism, trade and employment.

The highlight of the Rajasthan visit will be the dedication of India's first greenfield integrated refinery cum petrochemical complex at Pachpadra in Balotra . Built at an investment of more than ₹79,450 crore through a joint venture between Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and the Government of Rajasthan , the project is expected to strengthen India's energy security, reduce petrochemical imports and create thousands of direct and indirect jobs.

The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for Phase 2 of the Jaipur Metro Rail Project , estimated to cost over ₹13,000 crore . The proposed 41 kilometre metro corridor will improve connectivity between industrial hubs, residential areas, hospitals, the airport and other important locations across the city.

Apart from metro expansion, Modi will dedicate two railway doubling projects , inaugurate the four laning of NH 125A , commission major solar energy projects in Bikaner , and launch key power transmission networks to support Rajasthan's growing renewable energy capacity.

Later in the day, the Prime Minister will travel to Sanand, Gujarat , to inaugurate the CG Semi Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test ( OSAT) facility, developed with an investment of over ₹7,500 crore . One of the first projects under the India Semiconductor Mission , the facility will have the capacity to produce up to five billion semiconductor chips annually, serving industries such as automotive, telecommunications, artificial intelligence and advanced computing.

During the Rajasthan programme, Narendra Modi will also distribute appointment letters to around 54,000 newly recruited government employees , underlining the government's focus on employment alongside infrastructure development. Together, these projects represent one of the country's biggest multi sector investment pushes, aimed at accelerating economic growth and strengthening India's position as a global manufacturing and technology hub.
