Highly SPIRIT-ed! ‘Romanchakam’ Hits Screens Today Amid Prabhas Buzz

The Telugu romantic comedy ‘Romanchakam’, starring Sumanth Prabhas and Ananthika Sanilkumar, is building strong pre-release buzz ahead of its worldwide theatrical debut today. The makers organised special premieres across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on September 2, adding to the excitement surrounding the youthful entertainer.

The promotional campaign received additional attention with a playful social media message: “Rebelling Moments. Highly SPIRIT-ed”. The phrase appeared to cleverly connect the ‘Romanchakam’ campaign with Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming film ‘Spirit’, while also playing on Prabhas’ popular Rebel Star image.

Presented by filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga and produced by Pranay Reddy Vanga under the Bhadrakali Pictures banner, ‘Romanchakam’ marks the directorial debut of Venugopal Reddy. The filmmaker has also contributed to the writing, screenplay and editing of the project.

The film stars Sumanth Prabhas and Ananthika Sanilkumar in the lead roles and is described as a mix of romance, comedy and suspense. The story follows a young entrepreneur who launches a dating start-up but unexpectedly finds himself falling in love, leading to a chaotic and entertaining journey. The supporting cast includes Upendra Limaye, Venkatesh Kakumanu, Narendra Ravi, Mani Aegurla and Sai Sohan.

The pre-release event also drew attention after Vijay Deverakonda attended as the chief guest. He spoke warmly about his long-standing association with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, recalling their journey and the challenges surrounding the making of ‘Arjun Reddy’, while extending his support to the new team.

With music composed by Vasuki Vaibhav and cinematography by Pavan Pappula, the film has already generated interest through promotional songs, including ‘Radha Ramana’ and the title track. Asian Cinemas is handling the film’s release across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka.

With its special premieres generating early chatter and the promotional campaign tapping into the excitement around ‘Spirit’, all eyes are now on ‘Romanchakam’ as it heads for its worldwide release today.
