Human Body Parts Found in Suitcase on Tamil Nadu Express, CCTV Scanned for Suspect

A shocking discovery on board the Tamil Nadu Express has led to a multi state police investigation after human remains were found inside a suitcase at Agra Cantt railway station on Wednesday.

The suitcase was spotted in a general coach after railway staff at Gwalior noticed that it was leaking what appeared to be blood and giving off a foul smell. They alerted the Government Railway Police (GRP) at around 5 am before the train reached Agra.

After the train arrived, teams from the GRP and the Railway Protection Force (RPF) removed the suitcase and opened it. GRP Circle Officer Rajesh Dixit said officers found dismembered human body parts inside. The remains have been sent for a post mortem to help identify the victim and determine the cause of death.

Investigators found that the body parts had been wrapped in paper carrying a Chennai logo. This has become a key lead, and a police team has been sent to Chennai to trace where the wrapping material came from and whether it can help identify the victim or the person behind the crime.

Police are also checking CCTV footage from railway stations where the train stopped during its journey from Chennai to New Delhi. They are trying to find out where the suitcase was brought on board and who left it inside the coach.

Officials have not yet confirmed the victim's identity, age or gender. They are also matching the remains with missing person reports from different states. Forensic experts are expected to examine the suitcase, wrapping paper and other evidence for fingerprints and DNA clues.

Police believe the post mortem report, forensic findings and CCTV footage will be key to solving the case. No arrests have been made so far, and the investigation is continuing.
