Puri Jagannadh’s upcoming film 'Slum Dog - 33 Temple Road' has unveiled another emotional glimpse, this time introducing veteran actress Zarina Wahab as Zubeidaa. Released on the occasion of Puri’s birthday, the video gives audiences a moving look at the painful past of Vijay Sethupathi’s character’s mother.

Zubeidaa’s story is rooted in hunger and survival. In the glimpse, she recalls how desperate circumstances drove her towards begging at a railway station. The sequence also hints at the harsh realities faced by people living on the streets, adding an emotional layer to a film otherwise packed with action.

Zarina Wahab brings considerable weight to the role, portraying Zubeidaa’s helplessness and pain with restraint. The visuals underline the difficult circumstances surrounding her character, while Harshavardhan Rameshwar’s background score intensifies the emotional impact of the sequence. Vijay Sethupathi also makes an appearance in the glimpse.

Samyuktha plays the female lead, while Tabu appears as Gauri Hegde, a powerful Income Tax officer. Duniya Vijay, Brahmaji and VTV Ganesh are also part of the ensemble cast.

The film has already completed shooting and moved into post-production. Harshavardhan Rameshwar is composing the music, with Sam K Naidu handling cinematography and Santosh Noozilla on editing. The makers are planning a pan-Indian release in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.
