IN-SPACe Funds Three Startups to Boost India’s Private Space Sector Under TAF Scheme
India’s growing space startup ecosystem and rising private sector participation received a major boost as IN-SPACe (Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre) selected three companies under its Technology Adoption Fund (TAF) scheme.
The selected startups Astrobase Space Technologies , SatSure Analytics India , and TM2SPACE Technologies will receive financial and technical support to develop advanced space technologies aimed at strengthening India’s indigenous capabilities and global competitiveness.
The announcement highlights India’s rapid shift toward a more industry-driven space economy , following policy reforms that opened the sector to private players and encouraged innovation-led growth.
Bengaluru-based Astrobase Space Technologies will develop an 800 kN reusable LOX-LNG rocket engine for next-generation launch vehicles, aimed at improving efficiency and supporting medium-to-heavy lift missions.
SatSure Analytics India , also based in Bengaluru, will build “Dhaarini,” a Large Earth Observation Model (AI platform) trained on satellite and aerial data. It will generate insights for agriculture, infrastructure, and disaster management , enabling large-scale data-driven applications.
Hyderabad-based TM2SPACE Technologies will develop an AI-powered star tracker system to improve satellite orientation and imaging accuracy, with solutions for CubeSats and larger satellites.
IN-SPACe Chairman Pawan Goenka said the scheme is designed to bridge the gap between early-stage innovation and commercialization , calling the selected projects practical and market-ready solutions that will strengthen India’s global space footprint.
The projects were chosen after a multi-stage expert evaluation involving ISRO, DPIIT, DST, academia, and industry stakeholders. IN-SPACe said it will provide milestone-based funding and technical guidance , ensuring structured development and deployment of the technologies.
The initiative reflects India’s accelerating push to build a globally competitive private space industry ecosystem driven by startups and innovation.
