India is expected to witness a highly contrasting weather pattern driven by India-wide pre-monsoon weather pattern conditions transitioning toward the early phase of the southwest monsoon. The country will see a mix of severe heatwave conditions in northern and northwestern regions, while parts of the south and northeast are likely to experience increasing rainfall activity.

In northwest India, including Delhi NCR, Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana, temperatures are expected to remain significantly above normal. Delhi, Jaipur, and surrounding areas may continue to experience hot and dry conditions with strong daytime heating and warm nights. The region is likely to remain under persistent heat stress with minimal rainfall relief.

Central India, covering Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and parts of Maharashtra, is expected to see scattered thunderstorms across central and eastern states during late afternoon and evening hours. Cities such as Bhopal, Nagpur, and Raipur may experience brief spells of rain accompanied by gusty winds, offering temporary relief from daytime heat.

In eastern India, including Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal, weather conditions are likely to remain humid with intermittent showers. Kolkata and Patna may witness partly cloudy skies with occasional thunderstorms. The atmosphere is expected to remain unstable due to moisture inflow from the Bay of Bengal.

Meanwhile, southern India is likely to experience more active monsoon conditions. Kerala, coastal Karnataka, and parts of Tamil Nadu may receive rainfall under monsoon rainfall activity over Kerala and Northeast India , marking a gradual strengthening of monsoon systems. Cities such as Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Bengaluru, and Chennai are expected to see humid conditions with periods of rain or heavy showers in isolated pockets.

In the northeast, states including Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh are likely to witness heavy rainfall likely in Northeast India , with persistent cloud cover and strong monsoon influence.

Coastal regions across India will continue to face high humidity along coastal regions , making weather conditions feel more uncomfortable despite moderate temperatures.
