‘Invest Kadapa’ Centre to Offer Single-Window Support for Investors
The Kadapa district administration has launched a dedicated investment facilitation centre, ‘Invest Kadapa,’ at the Collectorate with the aim of attracting national and international investments and accelerating industrial development in the district. The centre will offer investors access to essential information, government approvals, land details and other services through a single platform.
The initiative is designed to create a business-friendly environment and simplify the process for investors by bringing multiple government services under a single-window system. According to the district administration, the centre will also strengthen coordination between investors and government departments and help resolve issues that may arise during project implementation. District Collector Cherukuri Sridhar is spearheading the initiative.
The centre will function through five key divisions — the Land Bank Desk, Opportunities Desk, Investor Handholding Team, Departmental Convergence, and Project Tracking and Facilitation. Together, these units will provide end-to-end support to investors, from identifying suitable locations to obtaining clearances and tracking projects.
The Land Bank Desk will maintain a digital database of industrially suitable land across Kadapa, covering details such as location, extent, connectivity and transportation facilities. It will also facilitate site visits for prospective investors. The Opportunities Desk will identify potential projects in priority and emerging sectors and connect them with investors.
The Investor Handholding Team will assist investors in selecting suitable locations, organising field visits and coordinating with relevant departments. Meanwhile, the Departmental Convergence mechanism will bring nodal officers from different government departments onto a common platform to speed up approvals and clearances.
The Project Tracking and Facilitation division will monitor proposals from the initial stage until project commencement. It will identify possible hurdles involving land, permissions, clearances and infrastructure and coordinate their resolution.
The administration will promote investments in sectors including agriculture, food processing, mining, mineral-based industries, manufacturing, solar and wind energy, renewable energy, pumped storage, tourism, hospitality, real estate and infrastructure.
A dedicated kiosk at the centre will provide digital information on Kadapa’s industrial potential and investment opportunities. By bringing investor support, land information, departmental coordination and project monitoring under one roof, the administration expects to improve transparency, efficiency and speed.
The initiative is also expected to attract MSMEs and large industries, creating more employment and self-employment opportunities while opening up additional job prospects for the youth of Kadapa.
