The Supreme Court is set to hear on today a plea filed by actor Jacqueline Fernandez challenging a Delhi court order directing framing of charges against her in a ₹200 crore money laundering case linked to alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar , marking a crucial stage in the ongoing Enforcement Directorate (ED) investigation.

According to court listings, a bench of Justices B V Nagarathna and Joymalya Bagchi is expected to take up the matter. The hearing follows earlier procedural developments, including the recusal of a judge, which led to re-listing before a new bench.

On May 30 , a Delhi court ordered framing of charges against Jacqueline Fernandez , Sukesh Chandrashekhar , and others in the case. The trial court also directed framing of charges under provisions linked to organised crime (MCOCA) in a related matter.

The Enforcement Directorate has alleged that Jacqueline Fernandez was in contact with Chandrashekhar and received expensive gifts routed through associates. Investigators claim Chandrashekhar operated an organised criminal network from prison, impersonating senior officials from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and other government institutions.

The Supreme Court hearing today is expected to determine whether the trial court’s order framing charges will be upheld or reconsidered, keeping the high-profile case under close national attention.
