'January 12 Vidudala' Unveils Keerthy Suresh’s First Look As Latha Reddy On Her Birthday

The makers of 'January 12 Vidudala', starring Victory Venkatesh, Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and Keerthy Suresh, have unveiled Keerthy’s first look as Latha Reddy on her birthday. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the upcoming Telugu family entertainer is progressing at a brisk pace, with the team currently filming in Ooty ahead of its scheduled Sankranthi 2027 release.

The first-look poster presents Keerthy in a rustic, traditional avatar, sporting a vibrant purple outfit, a headscarf and sunglasses. She is seen sitting confidently on a tractor against a rural backdrop, with a pleasant smile adding warmth to her appearance. The poster offers a glimpse of her character, Latha Reddy, whose role is expected to add to the film’s family-oriented entertainment.

The makers had earlier introduced the looks of Venkatesh, Kalyan Ram and Krithi Shetty, who plays Deepu. Keerthy will reportedly be paired opposite Venkatesh, while Krithi shares the screen with Kalyan Ram.

Venkatesh’s first look, unveiled to mark his completion of 40 years in cinema, showed him as Lieutenant Colonel Venkat Reddy, an Indian Army officer specialising in counter-terrorism and hostage negotiation. The military backdrop adds an interesting dimension to the project, which is expected to combine action elements with Anil Ravipudi’s trademark comedy and family emotions.

The film’s title was announced in August through a promotional video featuring the lead cast. The playful title doubles as its release date, with the makers locking January 12, 2027, for its theatrical arrival. The video also paid tribute to late filmmaker EVV Satyanarayana, referencing his popular comedy 'Appula Appa Rao'. Its tagline, 'Bava Bammardi Soujanyamtho', hints at the brothers-in-law dynamic between the lead characters.

The team previously filmed portions of the movie in Mysuru, including a song featuring the principal cast. The ongoing Ooty schedule marks another important phase in production.

Produced by Sahu Garapati under the Shine Screens banner and presented by Suresh Productions, Smt Archana and Zee Studios, the film features music by GV Prakash Kumar and cinematography by Sameer Reddy. Tammiraju handles editing, while AS Prakash is the production designer.
