JioHotstar has expanded into the Middle East through a partnership with regional streaming platform STARZPLAY, bringing Indian films, television shows and original content to audiences across the region.

The move marks another step in JioHotstar’s international expansion, following its launches in the UK, Canada and Singapore. Under the partnership, JioHotstar will be available as a dedicated streaming destination on the STARZPLAY app and website.

The offering will feature JioHotstar Originals, India releases, television content from JioStar channels, blockbuster films and popular reality franchises. The content lineup will include the ongoing season of 'Bigg Boss' across six languages and the upcoming season of 'Koffee with Karan'.

Viewers will have access to entertainment in Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Bangla and other Indian languages. JioHotstar said its Malayalam catalogue will form a substantial part of the service, reflecting the importance of the region’s Malayali audience.

JioHotstar will be available through STARZPLAY’s PLUS plan at AED 34.99 per month. The MAX plan, priced at AED 49.99 per month, will include the full JioHotstar entertainment catalogue along with STARZPLAY’s sports portfolio, including major sporting events and cricket.

JioStar described the Middle East as an important market for its global ambitions, pointing to the region’s large South Asian diaspora and strong demand for multilingual entertainment.

The partnership with STARZPLAY gives JioHotstar access to an established regional streaming platform and its existing audience base. The expansion is aimed at taking Indian stories, talent and entertainment franchises to more viewers outside India.
