Kangana Did Not Bite My Lips: Vir Das Dismisses Viral Reports From Revolver Rani Set
Comedian-actor Vir Das and actor-politician Kangana Ranaut have jointly dismissed a resurfaced viral claim alleging that a kissing scene during the 2014 film Revolver Rani left Vir Das injured, with both calling the story baseless and untrue. The controversy was revived after a journalist, during a podcast appearance, claimed that Ranaut continued an intense kissing sequence even after the director’s “cut” was called, allegedly resulting in an injury to Vir Das.
Vir Das has firmly rejected the allegation, describing it as “pure fiction” and an unfair misrepresentation of a professional on-set environment. He also publicly defended Kangana Ranaut, stating that she behaved as a “complete professional” during the shoot and praising her artistic talent, while stressing that there were no on-set disputes or injuries linked to the scene.
The claim, which quickly spread across social media platforms, further escalated when older commentary about the film’s kissing sequence resurfaced, including unverified assertions that Ranaut had allegedly bitten Vir Das’s lip during filming. However, multiple reports clarified that such claims were originally anecdotal and lacked independent verification, with no official production confirmation or witness-backed evidence supporting them.
Kangana Ranaut also reacted strongly to the renewed discussion, thanking Vir Das for clarifying the matter and criticising the journalist behind the claim. She dismissed the allegation as fabricated and questioned its intent, while reaffirming that the incident described online never occurred.
The renewed controversy has also highlighted how older Bollywood film anecdotes can re-emerge through digital platforms and podcast clips, often amplifying unverified narratives into viral discourse. Revolver Rani , directed by Sai Kabir Shrivastav , remains a politically charged satirical drama that continues to attract periodic attention due to its bold scenes and off-screen speculation, despite repeated denials from the principal actors.
