Kareena Kapoor to Join Shah Rukh Khan in Special Song for ‘King’

Shah Rukh Khan’s King is gearing up to be one of the biggest action entertainers of 2026, and the film has reportedly added another major attraction to its star-studded lineup. Kareena Kapoor Khan is set to make a special appearance in the Siddharth Anand directorial, according to a report by Pinkvilla.

Kareena is reportedly joining Shah Rukh Khan for a special song titled “Daddy Cool”, which is being planned as one of the major highlights of the film. The actress is expected to travel to South Africa later this month for a five-day shooting schedule with Shah Rukh. The track is said to be mounted on a lavish scale, with the makers aiming to create a memorable visual spectacle.

The song is reportedly composed by Sachin-Jigar and will feature a collaboration involving an Indian artist and an international artist. However, the identities of the international performer and singer are being kept under wraps for now. Reports also suggest that the song will present Shah Rukh in a never-seen-before avatar, adding another layer of excitement to the sequence.

The reported collaboration is particularly notable as Kareena and Shah Rukh are reuniting on screen after around 15 years. The two actors have previously shared the screen in films including Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Don and Ra.One, with their pairing in songs such as “Chammak Challo” remaining popular among fans.

Meanwhile, the makers are reportedly planning to unveil a new asset from King around November 2, coinciding with Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday. The nature of the asset has not been revealed yet, but the timing is expected to mark the beginning of a major promotional phase for the film.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, King features Shah Rukh Khan alongside Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Rani Mukerji, Jaideep Ahlawat, Arshad Warsi and Raghav Juyal. The film also marks Suhana Khan’s theatrical debut. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, King is scheduled to release in theatres on December 24, 2026.

However, Kareena’s reported appearance and the details surrounding the song have not yet been officially confirmed by the filmmakers.
