Ketan Agarwal Murder Case: Police Reconstruct Lohagad Fort Scene With Accused Siya Goyal

The investigation into the alleged murder of Pune based realtor Ketan Agarwal at Lohagad Fort has intensified after police conducted a detailed crime scene reconstruction on Sunday involving accused Siya Goyal, who was taken to the fort at around 6.30 am under heavy security. The exercise was carried out to recreate the exact chain of events that led to Agarwal’s death on June 18, when he fell into a deep gorge during a trek at the historic fort near Pune.

According to police, Siya Goyal, along with co accused Chetan Chaudhary, is suspected of pushing the 25 year old realtor to his death from the fort walls. Investigators used a mannequin during the reconstruction exercise , reportedly pushing it off the same location to verify the manner and feasibility of the alleged act. The accused are being separately examined as part of the procedural verification process.

Officials said the reconstruction is intended to test statements and establish the precise sequence of events, including the point from which Agarwal was allegedly pushed. A senior officer noted that both accused are being questioned separately to confirm their versions of the incident.

The probe has also uncovered a stronger pre-planning and rehearsal angle , with investigators claiming that Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary may have conducted a practice run at Lohagad Fort prior to June 18 . Police sources further suggest that an alleged first attempt to kill Agarwal may have been made on June 14, days before the fatal incident.

Investigators are examining claims that the accused carried out online searches on Google and YouTube related to ways of killing and staging an accidental death , along with alleged deleted messages and digital communications between them. These findings are being analysed alongside mobile data, CCTV footage and travel records to reconstruct their movements.

The case has also taken a significant turn with allegations that Goyal and Chaudhary collaborated in a conspiracy after engagement disputes , with investigators probing claims that she allegedly feared social and family consequences of calling off the marriage, which may have contributed to the alleged plot.

Police further stated that Goyal has reportedly claimed she distanced herself from Chaudhary after her engagement but later reconnected, a claim now being verified against digital and call records.
