Kiran Abbavaram has delivered the biggest opening weekend of his career with Chennai Love Story, which has emerged as a box-office success despite receiving mixed reviews from critics. Released on July 24, the romantic drama collected an impressive ₹16.7 crore net in India during its first three days, while its worldwide gross has climbed to nearly ₹24 crore against a reported ₹30 crore budget, putting the film on a strong path toward profitability.

Co-starring Sri Gouri Priya, the film is directed by Ravi Namburii, with the story penned by Sai Rajesh and music composed by Mani Sharma.
