Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy on Sunday called for a strong and disciplined booth-level organisational network for the Bharatiya Janata Party, saying it will be decisive in the upcoming municipal and Assembly elections in Telangana.

Addressing the ‘BJP Booth Presidents’ Convention’ at Nampally Exhibition Grounds, he stressed that electoral success depends on grassroots mobilisation and booth-level coordination . He urged party workers to work closely with Booth Level Officers and ensure that every household is reached through systematic outreach and verification.

Kishan Reddy launched sharp criticism against the ruling Indian National Congress government, the opposition Bharat Rashtra Samithi, and the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, alleging that none of them have contributed effectively to Hyderabad’s development. He reiterated that only a “double-engine government” BJP rule at both the Centre and the State can ensure faster development and better governance.

He also claimed that the BJP has formed governments in three states in recent elections and described the party’s performance in West Bengal as “historic progress,” reflecting growing public acceptance.

On Hyderabad’s Old City, he alleged that the influence of certain political forces has led to administrative irregularities. He further claimed that issues related to illegal immigration and voter list discrepancies exist in select areas. He said opposition parties are resisting the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls due to fear of losing “bogus votes” and are falsely targeting the Election Commission.

He appealed to BJP cadres to actively support door-to-door verification campaigns , ensuring that only eligible Indian citizens are included in the voter list, strengthening electoral transparency.

Turning to state governance, he accused the Congress-led government under Revanth Reddy of failing to implement key election promises. He listed unfulfilled commitments such as unemployment allowance, financial aid for women, scooters for college students, Kalyana Kanuka , farmer support schemes, and welfare guarantees.

He further stated that during the last 12 years, the Central government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made significant investments in Telangana’s infrastructure and welfare sectors. In contrast, he accused the state government of increasing borrowings and pushing the state towards financial stress .

Kishan Reddy also demanded accountability on the Congress party’s six guarantees , saying Chief Minister Revanth Reddy must explain their implementation status to the public.
