'Know BJP': BJP Showcases India's Growth Story to 23 EU Diplomats
In a significant diplomatic outreach, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) welcomed the mission heads of 23 European Union member countries to its headquarters in New Delhi under its 'Know BJP' initiative , using the platform to present the party's political journey, governance philosophy and India's rapid transformation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi .
The interaction, led by BJP president Nitin Nabin , was attended by the European Union Ambassador to India, Herve Delphin , along with senior diplomats from across Europe. The meeting reflected the growing engagement between India's ruling political leadership and the international diplomatic community at a time when India and the European Union are expanding cooperation across several strategic sectors.
Following the discussions, Nabin described the interaction as engaging and productive, saying the meeting offered an opportunity to explain the BJP's historic evolution, organisational strength and commitment to public service. He also highlighted India's remarkable progress in clean energy, digital public infrastructure, artificial intelligence and semiconductor manufacturing , presenting these as key pillars of the country's development journey under the Modi government.
The discussions also focused on the strengthening relationship between India and the European Union , particularly after the successful conclusion of negotiations on the India-EU Free Trade Agreement . Nabin described the agreement as an important milestone that opens a new chapter in bilateral ties while creating fresh opportunities for cooperation beyond trade.
According to the BJP, the party chief underlined that the India-EU partnership today extends well beyond economic exchanges. It now encompasses areas such as technology, innovation, clean energy, education, connectivity and people-to-people engagement , making it one of India's most significant international relationships.
During the interaction, Nabin also spoke about the BJP's evolution into the world's largest political party, highlighting its extensive grassroots network, disciplined organisational structure and governance model. He noted that technology driven governance and digital inclusion have played a major role in empowering citizens and improving public service delivery across the country.
The European diplomats welcomed the 'Know BJP' initiative , with EU Ambassador Herve Delphin appreciating the programme for providing greater insight into India's democratic and political processes. According to the BJP, the visiting mission heads also valued the opportunity to engage directly with the party's top leadership and better understand its vision and organisational framework.
The meeting was also attended by BJP foreign affairs department in charge Vijay Chauthaiwale and party MP and chief spokesperson Anil Baluni . The interaction is seen as part of the BJP's broader effort to strengthen dialogue with the international diplomatic community while showcasing India's governance model and expanding global partnerships.
