At the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026 in Davos, Switzerland , Andhra Pradesh is aggressively showcasing itself as a prime destination for global investments, with Minister Nara Lokesh leading the state’s delegation. His tour focuses on attracting high-value investments to accelerate the state’s industrial and infrastructural growth.
As part of the outreach, Minister Lokesh held separate meetings with representatives of some of the world’s most influential investment management firms, Blackstone and Brookfield . Managing nearly $2 trillion in global assets , both firms were briefed on Andhra Pradesh’s immense investment opportunities. Lokesh emphasized the state government’s commitment to transforming Andhra Pradesh into an investment-friendly hub .
During his discussion with Blackstone Chairman Stephen A. Schwarzman , Lokesh highlighted opportunities to develop international-level commercial complexes in Amaravati, Visakhapatnam, and Rayalaseema . He also proposed investments in port-linked logistics parks, hyperscale data centers, and renewable energy projects along key industrial corridors, including Visakhapatnam-Chennai and Chennai-Bengaluru. Lokesh noted that the state’s rapid urbanization and transparent industrial policies create an enabling environment for large-scale institutional investments.
In a separate meeting with Brookfield Asset Management Chairman Conor Teskey , the focus shifted to clean energy initiatives . The discussions reviewed progress from prior talks in London, with emphasis on accelerating a gigawatt-scale data center project in Visakhapatnam . Minister Lokesh invited Brookfield’s participation in green hydrogen, solar manufacturing, and energy storage ventures , highlighting that collaboration with firms like Brookfield is crucial to ensuring 24x7 clean green energy supply to industries across the state.
Officials believe these high-level discussions will provide a fresh impetus to Andhra Pradesh’s digital infrastructure and industrialization efforts . By attracting world-class investors , the Davos visit aims to create significant employment opportunities for the youth and further position Andhra Pradesh as a global investment destination.
