Mahesh Babu Backs Nephew Jaya Krishna Ahead of Srinivasa Mangapuram Release

With just days to go before its July 30, 2026 theatrical release, Srinivasa Mangapuram has received its biggest endorsement yet. Superstar Mahesh Babu has released a heartfelt video message backing his nephew Ghattamaneni Jaya Krishna, who is making his acting debut opposite Raasha Thadani in director Ajay Bhupathi's romantic action drama.

Calling it a proud moment for the entire Ghattamaneni family, Mahesh said everyone was excited to see the son of his late brother Ramesh Babu begin his journey in cinema. He praised the film's teaser, trailer and songs, saying both Jaya Krishna and Raasha Thadani had shown tremendous promise. The superstar also singled out G.V. Prakash Kumar's soundtrack, revealing that "Alelle" is his favourite song from the album.

Mahesh recalled that he too began his career under the prestigious Vyjayanthi Movies banner and said Jaya Krishna was fortunate to receive a similar launch. He appealed to his fans and admirers of legendary actor Krishna to extend their blessings and support to the film.

The excitement doesn't end there. In recent promotional interviews, Jaya Krishna revealed that Mahesh Babu had already watched the film, appreciated his performance and personally congratulated him. Describing himself as a "die hard fan" of his uncle, the debutant said Mahesh continues to guide him through every stage of his career.

The film also marks the Telugu debut of Raasha Thadani, daughter of Bollywood star Raveena Tandon, who plays the character Manga. Director Ajay Bhupathi has previously said both newcomers were selected purely on merit, with no family interference in the casting process.

Adding to the positive momentum, Srinivasa Mangapuram has already received a U/A certificate from the CBFC ahead of release. The trailer, which blends romance, action, family emotions and a conflict set against the backdrop of Tirupati and the Bellary faction world, has generated encouraging responses online. Veteran actor Mohan Babu plays the powerful antagonist, while the film is presented by Ashwini Dutt and produced by P. Kiran under the Chandamama Kathalu banner.
