Massive Fire Ravages Bolangir Market Complex, Eight Shops, EV Showroom Damaged

A major fire broke out at a market complex in Gandhinagar Pada of Odisha's Bolangir town early on Friday, damaging at least eight shops , including an electric two-wheeler showroom , officials said.

Fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot after receiving information and launched an operation to contain the blaze. Initially, two fire tenders were deployed, while additional firefighting teams were later pressed into service to prevent the flames from spreading to nearby establishments.

According to officials, no loss of life or injuries has been reported. The fire is believed to have caused extensive damage to several commercial establishments, with local media reports estimating the losses at over ₹1 crore .
