Medha Rana Pairs Up With Ahan Shetty for Action-Romance Film 'Sanki'

Actress Medha Rana has been roped in as the female lead opposite Ahan Shetty in the upcoming action-romance drama 'Sanki', directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, known for films such as 'Rustom' and 'Mission Raniganj'. The announcement has generated fresh excitement around the project, which is expected to hit theatres in 2027.

Medha will play Ahan's love interest in the film, marking a new on-screen pairing for the actors. She was previously seen in 'Border 2', where she featured opposite Varun Dhawan. Following the film's success, the actress reportedly took time to choose her next project, waiting for a promising script that offered her an exciting role.

According to a press release, Medha was impressed when the story of 'Sanki' was narrated to her and immediately felt it was the opportunity she had been looking for. She has reportedly spent the past two months undergoing intensive preparations and participating in several workshops to understand her character and prepare for the role.

The film blends romance, emotional intensity and action, with Medha's character expected to have a significant presence in the story. Her extensive preparation has focused on getting into the character, particularly for the film's demanding action-oriented sequences.

The shooting of 'Sanki' has already commenced in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, and Medha has joined Ahan Shetty and the rest of the production team. The casting has also attracted attention because the two actors were previously part of 'Border 2', although they were paired with different co-stars in that film.

The first look of 'Sanki' is expected to be unveiled in the coming days. The film is produced by We The People, Roaring River Productions and Pals & Peers Entertainment and is among the anticipated action dramas lined up for release in 2027.
