Mega Job Fair in Gajuwaka Brings 3,000 Employment Opportunities for Youth

A mega job fair held in Gajuwaka on Saturday brought together nearly 100 companies and job seekers from Visakhapatnam and surrounding areas, with around 3,000 employment opportunities on offer.

The recruitment drive was organised to create a direct link between local youth looking for work and companies searching for suitable candidates. Job seekers from Gajuwaka and nearby areas attended the event, giving employers and prospective employees an opportunity to connect on a common platform.

Addressing the gathering, TDP State president and Gajuwaka MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao said the response to the job fair had been encouraging from both companies and candidates. He recalled that a similar job fair organised in Gajuwaka about six months ago had also received a positive response from the youth.

Palla Srinivasa Rao said companies often face difficulty in finding the right candidates despite the availability of job openings. At the same time, many qualified young people are unable to reach employers offering suitable opportunities.

He said job fairs can act as an effective bridge between job seekers and employers, helping companies identify local talent while giving youth direct access to recruitment opportunities. He urged candidates to make the most of the platform and thanked the participating companies for supporting the initiative.

AP State SC Cell president Vijay Kumar said the NDA government's focus was on expanding employment opportunities within Andhra Pradesh so that young people would not be compelled to migrate to other states in search of work.

He said the job fair was intended to provide opportunities to youth in Gajuwaka who were waiting for employment. Through the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation, efforts were being made to connect local candidates with suitable jobs, he added.

Referring to the vision outlined by IT and Education Minister Nara Lokesh, Vijay Kumar said the government was working to strengthen local employment and create more career opportunities within the state.

Organisers said the strong participation by companies had created openings across multiple sectors while also helping employers identify skilled local candidates. They added that better skill development and stronger industry connections could further improve employment prospects for Andhra Pradesh's youth.
