Minister Chouhan, CM Chandrababu Visit Natural Farming Field in Tenali
Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu visited a natural farming field in Burripalem village in the Tenali region during their visit to the area.
The two leaders visited the farm of Janakiram, who has been practising natural farming without using chemical pesticides or synthetic fertilisers. Chouhan interacted with the farmer and appreciated his efforts to promote chemical-free cultivation. The Union Minister also patted Janakiram on the shoulder as a gesture of appreciation.
Chouhan praised the initiatives being taken by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to promote natural farming across Andhra Pradesh. He said the state had made significant progress in this field and commended the Chief Minister for helping Andhra Pradesh emerge as a leading state in natural farming.
The visit took place alongside the launch of a government-backed pilot project for 3D concrete-printed houses, described as the first such initiative of its kind being undertaken by the government in the country. As part of the project, 177 houses will be constructed in Burripalem and Obulanayudupalem villages under the Tenali area.
Chouhan and Naidu were in Burripalem to participate in the programme associated with the housing project. Their visit also highlighted the government's focus on combining modern construction technology with sustainable agricultural practices.
Later, the Union Minister and the Chief Minister paid floral tributes to the statue of legendary Telugu actor Superstar Krishna in Burripalem. The leaders' visit brought together programmes focused on rural housing, natural farming and local development in the region.
