Mission Karmayogi South India Workshop to Begin in Vijayawada on Sept 29

Andhra Pradesh will host the southern regional workshop of the Centre’s Mission Karmayogi programme in Vijayawada on September 29, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said. The two-day event, titled ‘Sadhana Shrankhala 2026’, will focus on strengthening the capabilities of government employees and improving administrative skills across participating states.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said he will inaugurate the workshop in Vijayawada on September 29 along with Union Minister of State Jitendra Singh. Officials and other stakeholders from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Odisha and Puducherry are expected to participate.

The workshop will focus on enhancing the capacity of government training institutions and using Mission Karmayogi to improve the skills and effectiveness of public officials. A live demonstration of the iGOT-Mission Karmayogi digital platform will also be held as part of the ‘Unnati’ programme.

Discussions will also cover the draft framework for the governance and management of training institutions under the ‘Karmayogi Kartavya’ initiative. Participants will deliberate on the Mission Karmayogi Quality Framework and ways to strengthen the quality and effectiveness of government training programmes.

The event will provide an opportunity for representatives from different states to share their experiences and administrative practices through interactive sessions and question-and-answer discussions. The participating states are also expected to highlight best practices adopted in their respective administrations.

The workshop will begin at 10 am on September 29, with Chandrababu Naidu scheduled to deliver the inaugural address at 10.30 am. This will be followed by technical sessions focusing on various aspects of capacity building and institutional strengthening.

The programme will continue on September 30 with expert sessions, presentations by participating states and group discussions before concluding.

The broader objective of the workshop is to promote a shift in the role of government training institutions—from centres that primarily conduct courses to strategic partners that contribute to improving the performance of government departments.
