Reiterating her commitment to improving healthcare access, Guntur West MLA Galla Madhavi said her primary objective is to transform the constituency into a healthier and more medically secure region. She made the remarks while visiting a mega free medical camp organised in Guntur's 19th Division on Sunday with the support of Sri Bhramara Trust and Vikas Hospitals .

During her visit, the MLA interacted with residents who had come to avail themselves of medical services and enquired about their health conditions and treatment needs. She also held discussions with doctors and healthcare professionals to understand the services being offered and assess the impact of the initiative on the local community.

The camp attracted a large number of beneficiaries, with more than 250 people undergoing medical examinations , according to the organisers. Hundreds of residents received free consultations, health screenings and medicines. Specialist doctors from departments such as orthopaedics, cardiology, vascular surgery and general medicine examined patients and provided expert medical advice.

Doctors conducting ECG screenings identified heart-related concerns in some individuals and advised them to seek immediate medical attention and follow-up treatment at hospitals. Patients suffering from chronic illnesses, including diabetes, hypertension and thyroid disorders , were provided with medicines free of cost along with guidance on managing their conditions. Individuals diagnosed with vascular complications were also advised to undergo advanced treatment at specialised healthcare facilities.

Speaking on the occasion, Madhavi highlighted the importance of preventive healthcare and early diagnosis in reducing the burden of serious illnesses. She noted that nearly 72 free medical camps have been organised across the Guntur West constituency so far, reflecting a sustained effort to bring quality healthcare services closer to people, particularly those from economically weaker sections.

The MLA also assured support for financially distressed heart patients through welfare programmes such as NTR Vaidya Seva , Letters of Credit (LOC) and the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF) . She said necessary assistance would be extended to ensure that deserving patients receive timely treatment without financial hardship.

Madhavi expressed gratitude to the management of Vikas Hospitals, the medical teams and representatives of Sri Bhramara Trust for their contribution to public welfare. She said collaborative efforts between healthcare institutions and community organisations play a crucial role in strengthening public health services and improving the quality of life of citizens.
