Mokshagna’s Debut Film ‘Simba’ Set For Announcement, Vassistha To Direct
Nandamuri Mokshagna’s much-awaited acting debut is reportedly set for a fresh announcement today, September 6, coinciding with his birthday. The development comes exactly two years after his maiden project with ‘HanuMan’ director Prasanth Varma was announced. That project was eventually shelved after its launch plans were called off.
Now, reports suggest that Mokshagna’s new debut project will be directed by Vassistha, who recently helmed ‘Vishwambhara’. The film is reportedly titled ‘Simba’, although the title and other key details are yet to receive official confirmation. A glimpse or short visual announcement is also expected to be unveiled as part of the birthday celebrations.
According to the latest reports, Sreeleela is being considered as the female lead, while prominent producer Dil Raju is rumoured to be backing the project. These casting and production details remain unconfirmed until the makers make an official announcement.
Mokshagna’s debut has been one of the most closely watched projects in Telugu cinema, particularly because of his connection to actor Nandamuri Balakrishna. His earlier collaboration with Prasanth Varma generated considerable anticipation, with reports at the time suggesting that the film was being planned on a grand scale. However, the project failed to progress as initially expected.
The reported Vassistha project therefore marks another significant attempt to launch the Nandamuri scion on the big screen. If the latest reports are accurate, the official announcement and glimpse could provide clarity on the director, title, cast, producer and the film’s overall scale.
For now, ‘Simba’ remains a reported title, and fans are waiting for the official announcement to confirm whether Vassistha, Sreeleela and Dil Raju are indeed part of Mokshagna’s debut venture.
