MrBeast Joins Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi At 'Ramayana' Event In Mumbai
The makers of 'Ramayana' are leaving no stone unturned to keep the film in the spotlight, with MrBeast now becoming part of the ambitious promotional campaign for the epic.
MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, joined Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra at a special promotional event in Mumbai. The world's most-subscribed individual YouTuber's appearance quickly became a talking point, adding a major international digital star to one of India's biggest upcoming film projects.
A video from the event has also gone viral. During the interaction, MrBeast asked the audience if they were having a good time. When the response was not as loud as expected, Ranbir appeared to prompt him to lead a chant. MrBeast then said, “Jai Shree Ram,” with the crowd responding with loud cheers. Ranbir also explained the meaning of the phrase to him.
MrBeast also praised what he had seen of the film, reportedly describing the footage as “phenomenal”. He later posed for pictures with Ranbir, Sai Pallavi and other members of the team, turning the event into another widely discussed promotional moment for 'Ramayana'.
The appearance underlines the makers' larger strategy of taking the film beyond the Indian market. Producer Namit Malhotra has spoken about the ambition to introduce the epic to audiences worldwide, while the scale of the promotional campaign indicates a clear focus on creating international visibility.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, 'Ramayana' is planned as a two-part saga. Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi portrays Sita and Yash essays Ravana. The ensemble cast also includes Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, Arun Govil, Lara Dutta, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek Oberoi and Kunal Kapoor, among others.
The first part is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release in November 2026, with the second instalment planned for 2027. The film is being produced by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios in association with DNEG and Yash's Monster Mind Creations.
With its massive scale, star cast and international promotional ambitions, 'Ramayana' is being positioned as a project aimed at audiences far beyond India's traditional film market. The addition of MrBeast gives the campaign another global talking point and could further extend the film's reach across international digital audiences.
