Andhra Pradesh Minister for Information Technology, Electronics and Education Nara Lokesh interacted with members of the Indian diaspora in South Korea's capital, Seoul, and called upon them to become active partners in the state's development journey by helping attract global investments and business opportunities.

Addressing the gathering, Lokesh said the Andhra Pradesh government is committed to transforming the state into a world-class investment destination through transparent governance, industry-friendly policies and strong infrastructure development. He urged overseas Indians, particularly Telugu professionals and entrepreneurs, to use their global networks, expertise and business connections to promote Andhra Pradesh internationally and encourage investments into the state.

The minister noted that the contribution of the diaspora can play a crucial role in accelerating economic growth and creating employment opportunities. He said Andhra Pradesh has created a favourable ecosystem for businesses and is extending all necessary support to investors.

Lokesh also explained the government's 3S framework Speed, Stability and Service which he described as the cornerstone of Andhra Pradesh's governance and investment strategy. He said quick decision-making, policy continuity and efficient services have enhanced investor confidence and created a strong foundation for industrial growth.

Highlighting future opportunities, the minister said Andhra Pradesh is well-positioned to emerge as a major hub in sectors such as Information Technology, Semiconductors, Electric Mobility, Battery Technology, Green Hydrogen and Artificial Intelligence . He added that the government is keen to strengthen partnerships with South Korea in these high-growth industries and create mutually beneficial opportunities.

Referring to the success of Kia Motors' investment in Andhra Pradesh , Lokesh said the project has generated thousands of direct and indirect jobs while encouraging the growth of ancillary industries across the region. He described Kia's experience as a model for other international companies considering investments in the state.

The minister further stated that the government is rapidly expanding industrial infrastructure, implementing progressive policies and strengthening skill development programmes to meet the needs of emerging industries. A dedicated mechanism has also been established to resolve investor concerns and facilitate faster project implementation.

Emphasising that regional development contributes directly to national progress, Lokesh said India's growth story will be strengthened when individual states achieve sustained economic advancement. He noted that the support of the global Indian community is essential in achieving this vision.

Members of the diaspora expressed interest in Andhra Pradesh's investment potential and discussed opportunities in the technology, industrial and education sectors. Officials said the interaction is expected to strengthen economic and technological ties between Andhra Pradesh and South Korea while supporting efforts to attract greater foreign investment into the state.
