The launch of NBK 112 , starring Padma Bhushan Nandamuri Balakrishna , marked more than the commencement of a major Telugu film on Thursday. The grand muhurat ceremony in Amaravati also reflected the Andhra Pradesh government's renewed vision of transforming the state into a vibrant hub for film production by strengthening infrastructure, attracting investments and creating employment opportunities in the entertainment sector.

The prestigious project, directed by Koratala Siva , was formally launched at Venkatapalem in the presence of IT and Education Minister Nara Lokesh and Tourism, Culture and Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh . Following traditional rituals, the ministers handed over the film's script to the production team, sounded the ceremonial clapboard and switched on the camera to officially begin the shoot. The event was attended by Balakrishna , Koratala Siva , producers Cherukuri Sudhakar and Mikkilineni Sudhakar , along with members of the film unit.

Addressing the media, Kandula Durgesh said the coalition government is fully committed to creating a film-friendly ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh. He said plans are underway to develop film studios, recording and re-recording facilities, dubbing theatres, post-production centres and other modern filmmaking infrastructure to encourage producers to undertake more projects in the state.

The minister recalled that the government had recently reconstituted the Andhra Pradesh Film Development Corporation (APFDC) under the chairmanship of Bharat Bhushan , with the backing of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan . The initiative, he said, aims to attract private investments, boost employment and position Andhra Pradesh as a preferred destination for Telugu cinema.

Durgesh described the launch of NBK 112 in Amaravati as a significant milestone, noting that the makers have decided to shoot a substantial portion of the film in Andhra Pradesh. Such decisions, he said, would benefit local technicians, artists, hospitality businesses, transport operators and other allied sectors while also promoting film tourism across the state.

He also reiterated the government's commitment to reviving Vijayawada's historic connection with the Telugu film industry , which once served as an important centre for film distribution and production. Under the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan , the government is working to restore that legacy through policy support and infrastructure development.

Industry observers believe the launch of NBK 112 is not merely the beginning of another high-profile film but also a symbolic step towards the government's broader objective of making Amaravati and other parts of Andhra Pradesh attractive destinations for large-scale film production and investment.
