The ruling NDA alliance has registered a sweeping victory in the declared results of the Andhra Pradesh Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituency (ZPTC) and Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency (MPTC) elections, while the YSRCP has alleged large-scale irregularities and police interference during counting.

According to the latest figures, the alliance won 439 of the 486 declared ZPTC seats out of 659. The TDP secured 358 seats, Jana Sena 62 and the BJP 19, while the YSRCP won 45 and others two.

In the MPTC elections, the alliance bagged 6,945 of the 8,698 declared seats out of 9,829. The TDP won 5,971, Jana Sena 823 and the BJP 151. The YSRCP secured 1,499 seats, while others won 254. Results for the remaining constituencies are awaited.

YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy alleged that the ruling alliance was manipulating results by pressuring officials. Claiming that irregularities occurred from nominations to counting, he said, "Chandrababu has won but lost morally. Though we have lost, we have won people's hearts." He vowed to continue fighting for farmers, women, youth, workers and democracy.

In Vizianagaram district's Bondapalli, TDP candidate Pashala Neeraja defeated YSRCP leader Botsa Satyanarayana's daughter Anusha by over 5,000 votes. In Seethanagaram, YSRCP candidate Karuturi Sriharibabu defeated Jana Sena MLA Bathula Ramakrishna's wife Venkatalakshmi by 2,600 votes. He also claimed a majority of the 20 MPTC seats in the mandal. In Tirupati district's Pellakuru, YSRCP candidate Kamireddy Satyanarayana Reddy, who was in jail when he filed his nomination, won by 1,719 votes.

Counting tensions were reported in Kuppam and Nagari. The YSRCP alleged that police arrested its leaders and agents in Kuppam. In Nagari, former minister RK Roja was allegedly manhandled and arrested after protesting over an alleged change in the Illathur MPTC result.

In Srikakulam, four YSRCP workers injured in an alleged attack at Salihundam village were visited by former minister Dharmana Prasada Rao at RIMS Hospital.

The party also alleged that Byreddy Siddhartha Reddy was placed under house arrest in Kurnool, Balakrishna's PA interfered in counting at Hindupur and former MLA Shilpa Ravichandra Kishore Reddy was prevented from entering the counting centre in Nandyal.

While the NDA maintained a decisive lead, the YSRCP's allegations of electoral malpractice and police interference intensified the political confrontation.
