
NIA Chargesheets Three More Accused in Red Fort Blast Case, Total Number Rises to 13
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a supplementary chargesheet against three more accused in the Red Fort vehicle-borne bomb blast case , taking the total number of chargesheeted accused to 13 . The chargesheet was filed before the Patiala House Courts in Delhi .
The accused named are Zameer Ahmad Ahanger, Tufail Ahmad Bhat and absconding paediatrician Muzafar Ahmad (alias Faraz/Zafar) , all from Jammu and Kashmir. The NIA has alleged that they were involved in the conspiracy behind the November 10, 2025 VBIED blast near the Red Fort , which killed 11 people .
According to the agency, Muzafar Ahmad was among the key architects of the conspiracy along with deceased prime accused Dr Umer Un Nabi and others. The NIA has alleged that Muzafar was a founding member of AGuH Interim (Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind Interim) and played a role in the manufacturing, testing and storage of TATP-based IEDs at a facility allegedly linked to the module in Faridabad.
The chargesheet also mentions Muzafar’s alleged participation in a secret Srinagar meeting in June 2022 , where the terror module was formed. A Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW) has been issued against him as he remains absconding.
The NIA has accused Zameer Ahmad Ahanger , an alleged overground worker (OGW) , of facilitating the movement of arms, ammunition and funds, while Tufail Ahmad Bhat , described as a former OGW of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) , allegedly supplied weapons, including rifles, a pistol and ammunition, to Dr Umer Un Nabi.
The agency said its investigation involved forensic analysis, geo-location mapping and financial trail examination to establish links among the accused. Further investigation in the case is ongoing.
