Nine Foreign Women Deported From Jaipur for Visa Overstay

Nine foreign nationals who were allegedly staying illegally in Jaipur after the expiry of their visas have been deported to their respective countries, officials said on Sunday.

The action was carried out jointly by the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) and the Foreigners Registration Office (FRO), Jaipur City, as part of enforcement measures against violations of immigration rules.

According to FRO official Dharmendra Sagar, all nine women were found residing in India without valid visas. The deported nationals included five women from Thailand and one each from Uganda, Tanzania, Nigeria and Laos.

During the investigation, officials found that several of the women had been living in rented accommodations in different parts of Jaipur. Most of them were apprehended from spa centres operating in the city, officials said.

Sagar urged landlords, hotel operators, guest house owners and homestay providers to verify the passport details and visa validity of foreign nationals before providing them accommodation. He also stressed the importance of submitting the mandatory C-Form (Form-III) online within the stipulated period.

Providing accommodation to a foreign national after the expiry of their visa or failing to submit the required information constitutes a violation of law, Sagar said, warning that strict action would be taken against those found violating immigration regulations.

Officials said enforcement drives targeting the illegal stay of foreign nationals would continue across Jaipur to ensure compliance with immigration laws and regulations.
