Nitin Nabin to Host Diwali Get-Together for Diplomats From Around 50 Countries

BJP national president Nitin Nabin will host a Diwali get-together for members of the diplomatic community at the party headquarters in New Delhi on Friday, with more than 90 diplomatic representatives from around 50 countries expected to attend.

The gathering will bring together heads of missions, deputy chiefs of mission and senior diplomats, along with Union ministers and senior BJP leaders, according to a statement issued by the party. The event is aimed at sharing India's cultural traditions and festive spirit with the international diplomatic community while fostering goodwill, friendship and stronger people-to-people ties.

The BJP said the gathering would also feature a special musical presentation titled “Tradition and Innovation”, bringing together classical violin music and contemporary technology.

The performance will feature Nandini Shankar on the violin and Mahesh Raghvan on the iPad, offering a fusion of traditional musical expression and modern digital techniques. The party said the event would provide an opportunity for diplomats from different countries to experience India's festive traditions and cultural diversity during the Diwali season.

The BJP's initiative seeks to use the festive occasion to promote cultural exchange and build closer connections with foreign missions based in New Delhi.
