Noida High Rise Fire Sparks Panic, Family Rescued Safely, CM Takes Cognisance

A fire broke out on Friday morning in a 12th floor flat of a residential tower in Noida, triggering panic in a high rise society and prompting a swift response from fire and police teams . A family trapped inside was safely rescued, while the entire building was evacuated as a precaution.

According to officials, the incident occurred at Sector 75 in the Ivy County society, where flames erupted from a 12th floor flat in the 28 storey building around 7 am. Thick black smoke soon spread, causing alarm among nearby residents.

Chief Fire Officer of Gautam Buddh Nagar, Pradeep Kumar , said six fire tenders along with a hydraulic platform were deployed immediately after the alert. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus suits entered the affected flats and managed to bring the fire under control after a challenging operation.

Preliminary findings suggest the fire may have been triggered by a short circuit in an air conditioner , though officials also indicated it could have originated in a puja room inside the flat. Fire personnel entered flats 1203 and 1204 and successfully doused the flames.

All members of the trapped family , including a couple and their children, were rescued safely. No casualties were reported . Residents of the building were evacuated through staircases, while occupants of nearby flats were also shifted to safe locations as a precaution.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognisance of the incident and directed officials to reach the spot immediately , ensure swift rescue operations , and provide medical assistance if required . He also instructed continuous monitoring of relief efforts.

In a separate incident the same morning, a fire broke out at a commercial complex near Shatabdi Vihar in Sector 52, where 15 people were safely evacuated. Officials said the blaze was caused by a short circuit in a freezer at a restaurant on the ground floor, and it was also brought under control without any loss of life.

Both incidents were swiftly contained , preventing major damage and ensuring that all residents and workers were brought to safety.
