Own a Piece of History! President Murmu's Rare 300 Gifts Up for Public Auction

Citizens now have a rare opportunity to own a part of India's ceremonial and diplomatic heritage as the e-auction of 300 gifts received by President Droupadi Murmu has officially begun. More than just a sale of memorabilia, the initiative transforms prestigious presidential gifts into a powerful source of funding for education and healthcare across the country.

Organised under the third edition of the e-Upahaar initiative, the month-long online auction features 300 authenticated gifts presented to the President by heads of state, constitutional authorities, ministries, state governments, cultural organisations and eminent personalities.

Each item has been carefully documented, photographed and authenticated to ensure complete transparency. The collection reflects India's rich artistic traditions, cultural diversity, craftsmanship and diplomatic engagements.

What makes the auction especially significant is its social impact. Every rupee raised through the auction will be directed towards charitable causes. The proceeds will fund educational assistance, scholarships and skill development programmes for school-going girls from Scheduled Tribes and other marginalised communities. The funds will also support palliative care, paediatric cancer treatment and healthcare services for children battling life-threatening illnesses through recognised medical and charitable institutions.

Among the standout collectibles is a replica of ISRO's LVM3 launch vehicle, symbolising India's achievements in space technology and self-reliance. Other notable items include a painting of Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath Ji, a replica of Tripureshwari Devi Temple in Tripura, a traditional Rajasthani miniature painting, and a framed artwork of Gautam Buddha.

Launched in 2024, the e-Upahaar initiative has steadily gained public support. The first edition saw 238 of 250 gifts successfully auctioned, while 175 of 258 items found buyers during the second edition, generating funds for social welfare projects.

The current auction will remain open from August 5 to September 5, giving citizens across the country an opportunity to acquire authentic presidential memorabilia while directly contributing to meaningful social causes. The initiative continues to set an example of how ceremonial gifts can be transformed into lasting public good.
