Pawan Kalyan Mourns Death of Young Fan Niranjan After Rare Disease Battle
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan has expressed profound grief over the death of his 17-year-old admirer Niranjan , who passed away on Wednesday after a prolonged battle with a rare genetic disorder . The teenager breathed his last at his residence in Hanumakonda , near Warangal , after his health deteriorated in recent days, leaving his family and well-wishers in mourning.
In an emotional post on X (formerly Twitter) , Pawan Kalyan said the news of Niranjan's demise had deeply shaken him. Recalling his recent visit to the youngster's home, he said those moments remain vivid in his memory. He wrote that despite enduring severe illness, Niranjan had eagerly waited to meet him, and the smile that lit up the teenager's face during their meeting would remain an unforgettable memory. Pawan described Niranjan as a symbol of extraordinary courage, saying that although his body was weakened by illness, his spirit remained strong, hopeful and full of determination. He added that losing such a brave young boy at such a young age was truly heartbreaking.
The Deputy Chief Minister extended his heartfelt condolences to Niranjan's family and prayed that they find the strength to bear their irreparable loss. Addressing the teenager in his message, Pawan said that Niranjan's smile, courage and unconditional affection would remain in his heart forever, reflecting the deep emotional bond they had formed during their brief meeting.
Pawan Kalyan had personally visited Niranjan's residence in Hanumakonda on June 17 after learning through Jana Sena leaders that the teenager's greatest wish was to meet him. Deeply moved by his condition, Pawan spent time with Niranjan and his parents, enquired about his health and offered words of encouragement. He also provided ₹1 lakh in financial assistance to the family and presented them with the sacred 'Kalyana Akshatalu' from the Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Temple , praying for the youngster's well-being.
During the visit, Pawan watched old videos of Niranjan dancing enthusiastically to his songs before the illness confined him to bed. Touched by the youngster's admiration, he fulfilled another cherished wish by gifting him a puppy , bringing immense joy during one of the most difficult phases of his life. He also promised Niranjan that if 'OG 2' is made, the teenager would be invited as a special guest and they would watch the film together. Though that promise will now remain unfulfilled, it has become one of the most emotional memories associated with their meeting.
Niranjan's passing has triggered an outpouring of condolences from Jana Sena supporters and well-wishers across the Telugu States, many remembering him for his remarkable resilience in the face of a life-limiting illness. His story has also drawn attention to the emotional connection between public figures and their admirers, with Pawan Kalyan's compassionate gesture during the teenager's final days being widely appreciated. Many on social media have paid tribute to Niranjan's courage and unwavering spirit , describing him as an inspiration whose strength and optimism will continue to be remembered.
